Language adaptations of the Italian ”Handbook on home care for the elderly”
30.09.2018
Relatively to language, the Italian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with National Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (CCM), developed a specific “Handbook on home care for the elderly” translated in six languages and freely available online. In particular, translations concern languages most widely spoken in Italy (English, French and Spain) and languages from which most of in-home-nurses come from (Romanian, Russian and Polish). This pamphlet includes very useful recommendations for the staff who assist the elderly and those most exposed to heat-danger at home. Similar examples also exist at regional/local scale and full descriptions are available in the Deliverable 2.2 report of Work Package 2 (Systems and processes in disaster management).
