Shared responsibilities for preparedness measures amongst citizens and authorities

During the discussions the majority of Maltese participants viewed preparedness as a shared responsibility between authorities and citizens, linked via active information-sharing from both sides. This is consistent with the results from the quantitative study which found that participants expressed a very strong interest in learning how to prepare for and act during disasters and it is also supported by participants' high appreciation of disaster simulation exercises.
