The Law on Emergency Situations does not specify disaster warnings on different languages as an obligation. However, Article 5 of this Law states that “Government bodies, autonomous province bodies, and local government units must ensure that the population in the area that is under the risk of a disaster is informed of the danger”. Therefore, in practice, this matter should be resolved within local government units in coordination with emergency headquarters and in line with the Law on the Official Use of Languages and Scripts.
