Oxfam recommended "adaptive, flexible approach to resilience building with a respectable, bottom-up empowerment approach" (OXFAM 2013). Also, Pulla and Mamidi that studied Indian experience of the forest preservation actions undertaken by inhabitants of the forest explained how "empowered communities became resilient and moved towards developing sustainable strategies" (Pulla, V. & Mamidi, B. B. 2015).
