Disaster prevention in the context of weak environmental protection

Ideally, environmental protection is as much of a policy priority as economic stability, however, in its absence, disaster prevention measures become more complex. For example, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have included pursuing “humanitarian diplomacy to prevent and reduce vulnerability in a globalised world” as one of their three “enabling actions” to deliver their strategic aims of “enabling healthy and safe living” among others.
